Phoenix 2.5 went live today. Two new partnership deals for members to save, a refreshed website, and new-member prices have changed.

1. Blood tests, ordered in the Phoenix app

Phoenix members now can order bloodwork at 70% off retail prices!
Your blood is drawn at one partner lab near you (Quest, Labcorp or BioReference), and Phoenix pre-selects the cheapest one for you.

Once your results are in, the Phoenix app reads them against APOE4 optimal ranges, so you know exactly where you stand.

2. The Phoenix private supplement store

To make it simple, the app gives you Phoenix-recommended supplement lists to start from. They're built for APOE4 carriers, based on what our community actually uses, and limited to brands that pass third-party quality testing.

Why I set it up this way

Why you get the full 35%
Most partners give patients around 10% off. The other 25% goes to the healthcare provider as a commission.
I don't want that.
Phoenix should be on your side, with no reason to push you to test more or buy more.
So we pass the full discount on to you and keep nothing from your tests or supplements.
We used to have a few affiliate deals. I stopped because they create a bias, even a small one, and your trust matters more to me than that revenue.

This helps go towards my vision of building Phoenix to be your one-stop place for APOE4: the tests, the supplements, the answers and the people who get it. No more shopping around, and managing your APOE4 no longer has to feel like a full-time job.

3. Your Phoenix membership pays for itself

As a Phoenix member, you get our group prices on the blood tests and supplements you need as an APOE4 carrier.
I set a goal that every member gets at least 4× the value of their Phoenix membership. With these new group discounts, that's more true than ever.

Still, the discounts aren't the real reason to join. What makes Phoenix different is the community, and the Phoenix app with an AI built specifically for APOE4, drawing on the research and on anonymized data from members like you.

4. A refreshed website

Phoenix has a new home: members telling their own stories, a simpler application that builds your plan as you answer, and just two plans, Ember and Core. Have a look

New member prices are now:

• Ember: $59/month or $599/year (was $59/month or $500/year)

• Core: $99/month or $990/year (was $83/month or $829/year)

Two reasons.
1) Every time a member orders a blood test, there are fees for placing the order and for accepting the card. They can be as high as 4.9% of the order plus a few dollars, and they vary depending on where you live.
To fully respect the promise that Phoenix makes no profit on your tests, Phoenix pays them.
Technically, we lose money on every test a member orders.

So tests and supplements stay separate purchases, at cost, and your membership covers the rest.

2) It has been me alone building Phoenix, with occasional engineering help from members of the community and a video editing agency for the content on YouTube.
We need to grow faster to find solutions faster.

The extra revenue helps us hire a team, all of them APOE4 carriers themselves, so we are all aligned. And it means we don’t need to go the venture capital route, which could pull Phoenix away from putting patients and solving APOE4 first.
